A lot can happen in 9 months. A person can get a new job and move within 9 months. A baby can be conceived and born in 9 months. But in our case...neither of the above is true (thank goodness!!) Our little Boogie is officially 9 months old!!! We're so grateful to have Landon around. It's been rough having 2 active little boys only 16 months apart, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Tyler and I were talking the other day about how we really feel like Landon has made our family feel complete...at least for the present! He's growing and changing like crazy!! At his 9 month appointment, Landon weighed 19 lb 10 oz (31%), was 28" long (37%), and had a head circumference of 44.8 cm (33%). To tell you the truth, even though these measurements are consistent with previous appointments, we were SHOCKED!! Everyone who sees him comments on what a big boy he is. He's inherited his mama's big thighs (but his rolls are actually CUTE and pinchable!!) and has these big old cheeks (I like to call them his jowels but Tyler doesn't like that term!). The doctor assures me he's just "proportionate" but I don't believe him. We've got a little blonde-haired, blue-eyed, chunky monkey on our hands and he's RIDICULOUSLY cute!
I also had my 2nd pack meeting recently. It's always a lot of work and stresses me out a TON. Everyone said it went really well but I wish certain things had gone differently, though I'm well aware that I'm my worst critic. We did it outdoors at a park, had the VFW come to do the flag ceremony, did a nature scavenger hunt, and gave out lots of awards. I recently also found out that our pack is splitting off from the other ward (we've been combined up until now) which I'm apprehensive about. I trust our leaders' decision but it means I'll have to do pack meetings every month now! Ahh! I've been told that simplifying and delegation will make things easier so that's the goal.
For the last weekend in July my amazing friend Noelle came and visited me! We were roommates and best friends in college and it was so fun to have her come and spend some girl time with me. We talked, went to the park, talked, ate out, talked, played games, talked, roamed the mall, and talked some more! Being married to Tyler, I haven't talked that much for probably a month straight!! It was so much fun. I love having friends who you can see only once every few years but yet you just pick up right where you left off. I just hope I can convince them to move closer! She has a little boy just a couple months younger than Carter (he didn't come) and it would be great to have our little boys be close, too. Come back, Noelle! I miss you!!!
Unfortunately we were too busy talking to take pictures when Noelle was here, but there are a few more recent ones of the boys.
