The Big Move

What are we up to now...February?  In February my sister-in-law Jamie and her kids came out to visit for a couple days.  The kids had fun together as usual.

We were also really busy with friends, work, and callings.  I was the cubmaster in our ward for a long time which was definitely the hardest calling I'd ever had!  Tyler was busy working long hours, but got to bring home ice cream and mix-ins (cookie dough!) which seemed to make it all worth it.  We had really great friends up in Lynnwood, too.  It seemed like at least once a month my friends and I would have a girls' night.  I can't even count how many nights we stayed up till the wee hours of the morning chatting and laughing.  Then we had playgroup once a week and of course random trips to the park on top of that.  I will forever be grateful for our good friends up there.  I will always consider them family.  Love you, girls!!

In March we had a bunch of big changes happen in our family.  First, we found out that we would be moving to California!  Tyler got a promotion within Safeway to become a Superintendent in the milk plant in San Leandro, California.  Fortunately, my brother Jared and sister-in-law Stacey had a trip planned to come to Seattle so we were able to see them before we left.  They also babysat our boys for a couple days so we could do some house-hunting.  They spoiled our boys rotten and our boys had the best time!  When we got back, Landon FINALLY started walking!!!  It took him 17 months, but at least he started before he had to go into nursery...I was sure he'd get trampled otherwise.  We were so proud of him and Stacey was still here to see it, which was exciting!  We also went to Jump Planet with them, a big building filled with bouncy houses and inflatables.

 Our new house

At the end of March we made the big move and re-located to Tracy, California.  It's a huge difference from Seattle!!  Here it's flat, hot, and brown.  Pretty much the polar opposite of where we were at!  For those of you who know me well, you know I was born for the Seattle climate and mildly detest the sun (MAJORLY detest the heat!).  But we quickly got callings and made friends and are really happy here now.  We definitely miss our friends up there, though.

We've been settling in, though, and love our new house!  It's great to have more space.  The kids love it, too, especially Mom & Dad's bath tub!
