Carter's Ultrasound
Hello again! We just heard back last night about Carter's ultrasound. His pediatrician said that it's definitely a solid mass, but that he and the radiologist can't determine what it is. So the next step is that we'll be referred to a pediatric surgeon, probably out of Stanford. He'll most likely either want to do an MRI or a biopsy, both of which Carter will have to be sedated for. The referral may not go through for a week so for now...more waiting! The doctor decided to make me feel even better by saying, "if it is a tumor, there's very few people that will even know what to do with it." Nice, right? Yeah.

Wow... talk about a professional. I think sometimes doctors forget that their patients are people, with families... like MOTHER'S who read into EVERYTHING that is said! I'm sorry friend. One step at a time!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a comment! At least you're being referred elsewhere!! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this - waiting is the worst!! Good luck - we're praying for you.
